I heard that when a staff wants to resign from an organization, he/ she must forgo all outstanding salaries that the company owes him or her.

I think that is not fair. What do you think?

It solely depends on the agreement between the employer and the employee, if they reach an agent that all outstanding balance must be cleared, then so be it, and the employee should be very polite while conveying his/her ordeal to the employer

Each companies has different policy it follows. While some companies do not pay outstanding salaries owed to their workers that are for retirement, some do pay them.

If I see organization start owe me some money, I would fast go away from it. But I would request all my money. I would not even sign such contract as you say when I start work somewhere. I am now in situation where I don't have to accept every job and all conditions.

I think it cannot be done in companies to do this. Usually, the company will hold the one month salary of the employee after having the resignation. It depends what company a person is working with.

It is not legally justifiable. If an organization is owning a worker salary before he stop working, the organization ought to pay the outstanding salaries. The issue is that many workers does have the financial muscles to pursue the matter incthe court. Another factor is that some workers are not aware of human right organization that can freely assist in such cases.

In my opinion, this is unfair and inhumane. After all, the salary that has not been paid is the employee's right, if it is not paid just for the reason of resigning then it is an evil and unjust act. But indeed there are some companies that stipulate penalties that must be paid by employees who leave before the completion of the work contract. I don't know I can't stop thinking.

I believe that if the staff meets the whole procedure and requirements that the company set out before resigning from his or her position, then he or she should never forgot any outstanding salaries because the company must pay it as they are mandated by law to do so.

The company would look for a loopholes not to pay you. The best thing is to get your last salary before resigning. That's how people do in my place. They would just get their pay and won't turn up the next day.

It mostly depends upon the company's policy and the agreement which had been done at the time of joining that company, mostly I have seen that they follow the agreement.

Put in your resignation one month before the due date. Work for that last month diligently and when it is time for pay, they would find an excuse. They would always want to delay that salary small.

For me i feel it mainly depends on the staff in particular. If they want to let it go then there is no problem in that, but the truth of the matter is that they worked for it so they deserve it.

In my country when an employee want to resign they are required to write a resignation letter two months prior notice whereby they would be paid the salaries for the two months in full and then the they would be paid off their gratuity and leave pay in full.

That's where the challenge is. When you write an advanced letter in my country, the owner of that business would want to frustrate you before giving you that last month's salary. Come today, come tomorrow. I and most people in my country do what we call ghost resigning. We just collect our salary as normal and you won't see us again in your organization.

It's not legal for a company to do that in my location. When a person resigns, s(he) is required to give the employer one month's notice or payment in lieu, depending on the employment contract. The company is required to pay all outstanding salary to the staff leaving the company.

I believe that as long as you met all the requirements and condition that should allow you to resign successfully in any company, they are bound to pay your outstanding salaries.
