How Do You Build Backlinks For Your Website

Backlinks are very necessary to get your website ranked, however, you need to build backlinks from sites that rank higher than yours and the sites that are in your niche. Your backlinks also need to be dofollow. So, the question is how do you actually build backlinks for your website?

First I started with forums. I tried on forums from my niche but it was much more difficult. Most don't allow any type of links. Maybe in forum profile. Some after 100 post in forum signature but 99% require paid promotions.

Backlinks are paid for sometimes, especially quality ones. Some bloggers want to rank their site fast and pay for the backlinks, but it needs a lot of money.

I at the moment focus on other forums I am active on and place links to my sites in my signature on the forum if the owner allows and I also place it in my profile as well if that too is allowed. I also sometimes leave my link with my blog comments if the owner allows that on their blog when you comment. Buying ad space or offering to have someone's ad on your site and for them to have your ad on their site also works as well in creating backlinks I found.
