Do people link to forum topics as much as websites & blogs?

Do people link to forum topics as much as websites & blogs? This is in regards to providing info and essentially advertising that item for further discussion and referrals.

Atleast as far as I know of those who actively provide reference links, I think there are plenty of people that does this.

Much rare. Maybe they embed some post or page from topic but rare entire topic. Websites/blogs are often consider as more trusted source since text are longer with better description of problem and solution. I can see much often links on different sites in topics, embed in word or full links.

It is something by rights of the author, because this person has spend a lot of time and energy redacting the topic so refer some information must be labelled with the source information.

Yes! People do link to forum sites but you will not compare it to websites. One of the main reason why website is better is that the idea is mostly coherent unlike forum posts.

I am yet to come across links to forum sites used.. Sometimes I have seen users on forum platforms using to take to some forum thread or post on the same platform that might be relevant to the discussion. I havs never noticed them outside the forum. It's website and blogs that are used in links because they have a continuation and longer text that conveys the idea better.

Personally I like to read topics from forums and more about their answers . This is because I just believe the people on the forums are always giving a lot more sincere answer

However, it ultimately depends on the forum and its user base. Some forums have a strong community and active users who are more likely to share and promote forum topics, while others may not have as much engagement. It's also important to consider the relevance and usefulness of the forum topic to the audience being targeted for the promotion. If it's a highly niche topic, it may not get as much attention as a broader, more popular topic. Overall, it's always a good idea to diversify promotional efforts and not rely on any one method alone.

Those are valid points. And you have given a very wise tip there. The audience targeted for promotion are the main deciding factor where one can go for the promotion. And it is always better to diversify our promotion efforts and not rely on any one method. Anyway the target is to reach out to more and more number.

You need to link to your websites topics that you know will be relevant to it. people like to see related topic on the site so that they can use it

I have seen a lot of people link to Quora posts and Reddit posts. Quora and Reddit are also some find of forums (proper word might be online community). If your forum can create informative threads, I believe people will link to your forum.
