Why don't African firms pay their employees per hour?

In Africa, people are mostly being paid monthly salaries. It is very difficult to see an organization in Africa paying per hour. It is a normal thing in the Western world.

Why don't African companies love to pay per hour?

It is a standard practice that some companies need to incorporate this. If you are working online, you can be paid per hour. It happens for virtual teachers. But then, they still need to be paid every 15th and 30th of the month or per month.

I think with a lot of low wage jobs in Africa and limited economic growth companies might not see the need to invest in more advanced payroll systems. A monthly salary may seem like a more straightforward solution for everyone involved.

It has been like that right from time and I hope it stops to be like that

Well every country has their own culture i guess, and another reason could be that there is no enough resources to pay workers per hour, they can only generate enough to pay per month.
