Definitely everyone should create a schedule for them, they need to complete their tasks and beside that enjoy the trip.
The purpose of the business trip would determine your preparation for the trip. Why are you making the trips?. What are the objectives of the business before arranging the schedule trip?. These are what will form the basis of your preparation.
When the trip is almost ready to commence, I make sure I have put all the tools and the required things that would be used in the business trip in place and prepare for them so that I don't forget important documents to be used there for instance.
I first of all find out about the destination. I see where I would be accommodated if it would be comfortable for me. Then I ascertain what I would need and move with them.
That depends on the purpose of my business trip. After this, I'll start working on the agenda of my trip. Make appointments with people I'd like to meet.
