Exactly, most customers do not even care if it's fake or not these days. There are some who will willingly buy fake products as long as it's cheap and they are able to use it for some time.
I think it is always important and necessary to separate a fake product from original product. People have their choices to make whether they want to buy the original one or they want to buy the fake one.
One of the major cause can be reduction in quality of the product. Another likely factor may be a negative report against a company or product. For instance, there is a time in Nigeria, it was reported that one particular noodles is harmful to health. It affected the product popularity and sales. The product have not recovered.
Yeah, when the quality of a product reduces the customers will actually stop patronizing such a business venture. I think business people always try as much as possible to get positive reviews for their products.
There are many reasons consumers boycotting a product. They may include environmental concerns, unethical practice, faulty or substandard products, or for political reasons. The company with products being boycotted should find out the cause of such action and resolve the issue.
Actually, nobody likes a product that does not have a very good quality. When the quality of a product is depreciated a lot of people will dump it and move to the next brand.
