When would you start marketing your site?

When running a website and/or blog, when would you start advertising it? Would you do it after you have made your first blog post or would you wait till you have a decent amount of content first, so as to give new visitors plenty to digest?

I would start marketing the site, once I have everything I want on it, set up enough to the point, that I would have no questions on what everything is about.

It will better to start marketing after putting up some good amount quality contents . A site without contents is as far as concern an empty site without necessary home decorations.

You have first to reach no less than 100 blog posts and after that you start paid promotion. So no one will interact with a blog with 7 blog posts that is shameful.

I believe once the site is up and running you can start marketing it. There are even persons who start their marketing before the site is even launched.

This is not a case for a blog, a blog must be filled with content. Your example is applicable only if it is dropshipping site or ICO of currency website or website for company already present in the life.

The primary purpose of marketing your site is to generate traffic and revenue, if you start marketing your site that is not complete yet, how do you suppose to ger traffic and revenue?

I would prefer marketing my site when there are sufficient quality content on it. If the site does not have enough content, visitors may have a bad impression on the site and may not visit again.
