When I first heard of the Biogas discovery, I for one was elated because I thought the world would finally have cooking gas at a cheap cost.

Years later, all I have is hope. What's holding back the commercialisation of the biogas system?

I have not even heard about this before so I think I need to make a research on what exactly it is

Several constraints impede the commercialization of biogas. For starters, the cost of producing biogas remains very expensive when compared to other kinds of energy, which may dissuade potential investors. Second, there is a shortage of infrastructure for biogas storage and delivery, which makes commercialization difficult. Furthermore, the absence of a continuous source of feedstock, as well as the high cost of feedstock, might make biogas production and commercialization challenging. Finally, a lack of public knowledge and comprehension of biogas technology might stymie commercialization. All of these issues must be considered in order for biogas production and commercialization to be a feasible option.

There are several challenges that have prevented the widespread commercialization of biogas:

  • High Capital Costs: Biogas plants require a significant amount of initial investment.
  • Feedstock Availability
  • Technical Issues:
  • Regulatory Hurdles: The development and

The main factors hindering the commercialization of biogas are lack of awareness, high initial investment costs, limited government support, and technical challenges in setting up and operating biogas plants. Additionally, the competition from traditional fossil fuels and lack of proper infrastructure for distribution and use of biogas also pose obstacles.
