There are a lot of events going on such as wedding ceremony, burials, birthday parties and the likes. The celebrants usually tend to hire a photographer to capture these events, but most of these photographers do not have cameras, so they tend to hire for their jobs. Do you think renting of cameras is a good business?

Of course people love capturing memories and occasions so having a business that provides cameras for rent for photographers is a great idea. It's a win-win situation Photographers get the cameras they need and you get to provide a service that's in high demand. That's smart business, in my opinion.
Yeah you need to always have the skills to give very clear videos. it will make clients patronize you more.
of course you must be a good cameraman if you want to embark on such a business. But some mobile phones can alternatively do that presently.

The connection might not be that much of an issue, i think the major issue is making sure you get your equipments back after you have borrowed them. Cause most persons would definitely run or damage your equipments
It can be a lucrative business because most people are renting cameras for their weddings and birthdays.
In my location, people do hire freelance photographers for their special events such as weddings. Those freelance photographers usually use their own cameras. I wonder renting cameras is a lucrative business here.
I think that renting cameras is not lucrative anymore, at least in my country. Of course, this has to do with the location.

I think it is not just for movie makers but people who are into photography. A friend of mine contemplated renting a camera to cover an event sometime ago. But he later changed his mind.
