The best way to make sure workers meet up with deadline is to start on time. There are workers who always like waiting for the last minutes before they do their jobs.
The best way is to start on time and they should be very fast with whatever work that they are given.

First of all, the employer or the boss/ manager should be sure that the datelines are realistic. Some Managers give employees unrealistic dateline and expecting them. How can you expect someone to write a 50 page report and submit in 3 days.

It is true that there are some managers that will give them unrealistic dates just to provoke them and it does not make sense

I totally agree with this employers need to always be sure that the datelines are realistic. with realistic deadline employees will be able to meet dateline and the job will be enjoyable

if I have a business I will not actually employ such kind of people because they will make the business venture to miss a lot of money. Not being able to meet deadlines is very bad.

Yes that is one disadvantage of not being able to meet deadline those involved will make the business to lose money. but you as the employer must help them out too

When you as a manager gives them tasks or know that they are on a particular task, don't bother them with other works that might distract them from focusing on the task they are handling. With that, they would meet datelines.

Management should emphasize the importance of meeting deadlines to workers. Conduct meetings to check on the progress regularly. If individual workers' progress is lacking behind, find out the root cause. If it's mainly due to laziness or inattentiveness, impose penalty.
