Everyone has heard of companies hiring public relations agencies to create a positive impression. In some countries there are businesses which specialize in slandering hardworking professionals, business owners to cheat, exploit, rob the person for the rest of his or her life, so that powerful people can get no work, no investment government jobs with the data stolen from the person who is slandered. Is slandering hardworking professionals, investors a lucrative racket in your country?

It might be lucrative, cause a lot of business owners and even politicians make use of this method, but looking at it morally, it is completely wrong and I would not advice anyone to go into such business.

If you are able to slander without being implicated or liable or you have some sponsors with fsat cheques that are willing to bail you out and pay for all the legal fess just in case it goes that direction then it is a lucrative business.Public relations has a wa to help credit or discredit or help one get mileage in what has been said.So if PR is done accurately then you are assured of getting proceeds from it indirectly or directly.

I heard some people do this but it is considered a crime. These illegal companies and its people should be punished for doing these things to innocent individuals who wanted to be respected.

It is clearly written in the law that such kind of offence is punishable and the law must take its course.
