I just love to do my thing and not think about what every other person will take as long as I have a proof or have someone or something that will stand as my witness so I am good to go

There are times when you should not ignore the person because the person must have been sabotaging your reputation in a lot of places so you should stop that person.

The question is to know if your response actually violated the business principles. If it did, then you don't have to respond but to take your correction.

If I'm sure that whatever I said did not violate the principal of business then I would definitely defend myself by stating valid point which not only proves but enhance my point

It depends if I did violate it. I can try to find more information and consult a lawyer if it is acceptable to follow their rules or not. Although I need to review my contract if it is included or not.

I meant there are some situation in which that might be the only possible way out but then it violated the business ethics and can then be weighed and decide what to consider and what to let go of

It is fine to show them what we feel over something. Unless we do not freedom working with them, then it is about time to change and find a new job that is suitable for us.

As far as l am concerned, everyone is free to express themselves on certain issues provided they don't harm others or otherwise. So when my suggestions violates the business rules and regulations, l would take it easy.
