I would not respond in an unprofessional way, but act appropriately and offer suggestions. I will remind them that it is not the right way to address someone because of low position title. At the back of my mind, these people who do this show how insecure they areof theirThey consider. a threat for them to lose their jobs. Sadly, it happens in the real world.

I would ignore him/her and focus on doing my job. I do not need to prove my capability to him/her. If I do a good job, my performance would be acknowledged by management.

Well it all depends on the position
If lower position I would advice the worker to work harder in order to gain respect
While if in a higher position I would advice the worker to just ignore

Communication will greatly help you solve this problem. It might be intentional or not, and it's best to understand that. If it is indeed so, you can choose to address it by approaching the person, or to just let it slide. In some cases, it's far better to ignore such people because they rarely consider what they did as wrong.

I am with you on this. I never dared or tried to prove or explain myself with my co-workers. Although I have the reservation of fighting them back if there are some issues that were spreading untrue towards me.

It is nice to hear such a thing. We must admit that our colleagues are also aiming to be promoted. Basically, some of them think that we are threats for them to be promoted.

Well It happend to me when I worked at a restaurant I didn't felt hurt but it's still rude in my opinion I guess it's common to exspierence this treatment if you have low position

it is to keep ignoring the person. Some people are just insecured and have low self esteem. They want to bring others down. you don't have to give them that satisfaction

Yes a lot of people are just toxic . Cresting problems where is none and try to get in the way of good people. you don't have to give them that pleasure of hurting you.

Sure people need also to build their self esteem. This way you can deal with any attitude thrown at you that is not good for your well-being. you need to do better for yourself

Let's not entertain people like them. They're envious types perhaps losers. It's good to stay away from them.

I would also refrain from entertaining them and I would avoid interacting with them because they might be toxic people. People should interact with good people who are willing to help people.
