There has been so many things that one has done in order to make money while growing up and hawking was part of it as I did hawk some time ago while I was growing up on the street of my community which helped me earn come few amount of money that my mother saved up for me back in the days.

Well, I was thinking of making money as a hawker. However, the fact of the matter remains that I stopped it because a few of my relatives discouraged me. Had they not done so, I would have had started it.
I feel your hustling spirit bro. It is really commendable how you have been able to make something for yourself. I never got to do it as I was raised from a fairly comfortable family. But I respect people like you who have done it and have scaled that stage.
Well, I am nothing. It is Allah Almighty who has bestowed his favours upon me. I am a Muslim by faith and I recite the Holy Quran every Friday and ask God Almighty to bestow sustenance and he always provides me. Having said that, I think that a person must always have a positive mindset and hope for the best all the time. This also requires a person to work harder in life.
That is the situation that most people found themselves. But some of them learnt some valuable lessons in business that would help them to become good business people.
I have observed a trend that most kids that did strreet hawking understood financial intelligence more than those that didn't. It seems the street hawking made them understand the value of money early in life.
This particular thing is rampant in African countries. I never hawked though but I had friends that di. And I used to pity them but it helped them learn how to take responsibility.
It is true that it is very common in Africa but I do not hawk for any reason while I was growing up.
Not everyone was born with a silver spoon. I know of so many people that passed through this and have transited to become great entrepreneurs today. It served as a kind of preparation for entrepreneurship.
Wow, that's actually good as it serve as a means of survival for you , at least that got you some savings , I actually didn't hawk while growing up but do save part of my pocket money given to me by my parents.
The truth is that purposeful hawkers as kids always build valuable experience that would help them in their journey into entrepreneurship. I know lots of them and they are doing very well in their businesses because they learnt business from the streets.
I have never hawked to make money. It's not common here for kids to hawk. When I was studying, I worked as a part time tutor for a few primary students. I also worked during summer holidays.
I never hawked any product when I was still a kid growing up but what I did was staying in one particular place and selling what my mother gave me to sell in the market.
I have never done hawking when I was young. I only depended on my parents for all the money I needed. I guess it would have been great to learn how to run a business from such a young age. It would have built a great foundation for me and maybe I would be a great business person right now.
