Can you run a provision store?

Having such a business is a very good way to start up and maintain a good financial status as no matter what, you will get to have customers who would patronize you but you also need to be strategic and be present at your business as it is not an easy one to do at all.
For I have seen many that have failed woefully at such business.

I think that provision store is also known as a grocery store, if I am right. The fact of the matter remains that there are so many people who run this kind of store. However, it takes a lots of time and effort in order to successfully run such kind of stores.

Yes it is also known as that and you and I know that it is not an easy task running a successful and undying grocery store and getting to employ workers too is with care due to the fact that there are some people who are going to run you down if you employ them to be a helping hand at your business.

Such kind of provision stores are also called general stores in here. I once spoke to the owner of a general store and he stated that managing a general store is not at all easy because you have to keep a record of many products.

I am very much familiar with how to run this business because this is what my mother does and I have been managing her shop for over ten years now. I really love the business

This would definitely prove to be successful if done right and with the proper sort of effort put in by the business owner. This is because provision stores run throughout the year and there is barely ever a decrease in the number of customers all year round - this means that it will be very profitable, if done right.

Running a provision store is very demanding. An entrepreneur aspiring that kind of the business really need to have a very adequate amount of capital to keep the flow of the essential products and payments for the workers on time.

I don't think I have what it is takes to run this kind of business. It requires people that are very disciplined to not to take some of the items for personal use.

If what you mean by a provision store is a store that provides daily needs or a grocery store, then it's used to helping my father's grocery store. and it just so happens that the location of the store is so strategic that direct suppliers of goods can replenish merchandise. The principle is not to make big profits but how many items are sold. so there will be more customers.

I have my personal experience of this type of store, it contains all daily used items and apparently it seems to be as it must be run in good manner but in reality it won't remain the case nowadays people prefer to go to big marts.

It is very profitable and the thing is that we all make use of productions everyday so it is normal to have potential customers and it is also normal to make sales everyday

A provision store is a very good business as many people are ready to buy those convenience goods. One disadvantage though is that this business will need you to work throughout. If you have a full time job, you may have to hire someone to run it for you and that comes with it's challenges.

It is vety lucrative but the business is hard to run because a lot of people may want to buy goods in debt and it is not very good that way
You may not be able to recover if you sell in debt

Yes this is a good business, i have seen lots of persons who run provision stores make good profit. But the truth of the matter is that you need money to startup.

Foe some reasons, this business is watered down in my location. The simple reason being that it is the first business that anyone thinking of doing a business would consider and it has become saturated. Within a five minutes walk, one can see about 10 provision shops. I hope they make profits though.

This is what my mother does and she has been doing it for years and I can see that it is one of the best businesses that I have ever encountered because there is no way you're not going to make sales

Well, I have never run a business. However, I certainly plan to run a business during some time in my life. This would be a really hard thing to do in the first place. But I think that it would be worth it.
