Solopreneur or sole proprietorship requires a single person to run a business, actually, it's never easy compare to having group of people running it, it requires just only you to make your decision and decision made may be influenced by several factors.
It's not easy to be a solopreneur. I guess one must have the passion for the business. S(he) must enjoy what s(he) is doing. Financial return is also another motivation.
I believe that the best motivation comes when you start to see results, however small they may be. I believe that one must start and set small goals to achieve in order to gain motivation along the hard path of entrepreneurship.
Being a solopreneur doesn't mean you should be lonely. You can create business relationships with other players in your industry. You can also create relationships with businesses that offer support services to your business/products.
That's right, I agree with you. The only way to motivate a solo preneur is to be confident in the business being run. I'm also a solopreneur, only a little assisted by my family. There are no partners or employees, sometimes things have to be done alone. Start being an admin, looking for business ideas, even running an existing business.
To be honest it is not that easy to be a solo entrepreneur because there are moments that it will be hard and you would want to reach out to someone but I know that it would not be so easy to get beneficial results for free or to get help for free. But one thing that I urge entrepreneurs like myself and others are just like what others have said. Stay focused and know the art of viability. When you focus your energy on what is beneficial to your growth and you know that it will work when you have all the pieces together then you will be a high achiever. Mostly achieving is what makes an entrepreneur to be motivated.
If the money is constantly coming and if you are making good profits, I think you will be motivated to continue with your business. If sales are poor and if you are not making enough profits, you might feel like not continuing with the business.
