80-20 rule of food businesses

With regard to including additives such as sugar, fat, and salt certain multinational food processing businesses observe an 80-20 rule. The essence of this rule is to include the amount of additives that would ensure that 20 percent of the companies' customers consume 80 percent of the total food in the market.

Given that these additives are responsible for most of the non-communicable chronic diseases and health conditions plaguing the world, I hold that the food businesses are acting immorally by observing the 80-20 rule.

I am in total agreement with you on this matter as the preservatives that is being used for most of these can foods are not healthy at all and of harm to the human system.

This is why I love to eat natural. I even prepare 90% of my food because I don't like the amount of additives in food prepared outside. This is statistics is quite high.

Same reason why most people prefer to do their cooking themselves,there are some additives that should be little or never in our food especially for those suffering from these non communicable chronic diseases.

Yeah additives are bad for our body and should be reduced. So I agree if possible it should never be in our food especially for those that want healthy living

The things they even put in the foods that we buy cannot be trusted so it is better to cook it by myself since I can trust the way that I have cooked my food.

This is exactly the same way I go about making my own food because it is even more healthy for you to prepare your own food at home and eat.

It happens that food processing companies have conducted research and determined that including specific amounts of these additives causes customers to become 'hooked' to the respective products.
I guess relevant authorities should refuse to be as well hooked by these manufacturers, and thus adopt practical measures for protecting consumers.

Simply prepare what you would be able to sell out for the day, cause to be honest these preservatives are not really that healthy when we take or consume them too much.

This is what many food vendors restaurants and hotels do not put into consideration though I don't blame the bee hotels and restaurants because they believe they will have an inflow of customers who will patronize their businesses and so therefore they don't need to cut short their supplies.

That is why I am a proponent of organic food production which is healthy for all humans. Nowadays, you see hormonal imbalance in people all caused by the chemicals used in production and storage of food.
