I tried using one domain builder. I was in the middle of putting together a great blog and then right at the end, I seen the price they were gonna charge me. I had to delete all of my stuff just for the fact that I did not want to lose it. I am trying again but I just want to hear some in depth experiences from you all about what you think. I appreciate all the information in advance.

Namecheap is one of the best platforms to buy domains for comparatively cheaper price. iPage or Hostgator can also be considered good platforms to get domains, these web hosting companies even give you free domain if you buy hosting.

If you plan just to register a domain, namecheap or godaddy can be good as these are the platforms that sell domains for cheap. However, if you want a domain so that you can launch a site, you can try companies like hostgator, ipage, blue host etc as these companies give you a free dot com with the hosting package.

I actually have my blog on wordpress.com. I never looked into going premium with them. I was just gonna go get a different hosting site and bring my blog along for the ride
