These days hackers and spammers are making forums easy to target. That's because they can not only spam the forum but also scam other users. They might even steal data and sell it to other companies. So, what are your policies regarding the implementation of securities on your forum. One of the most important things, in my opinion, is periodically updating forum software and extensions to protect users and maintain functionality is the best practice.
