Yes, I have 3 bank accounts and debit cards of each account.
So it's very exciting when after paying all the payments you have money left for a month and you can use it for investments or just put it aside for a trip or a valuable purchase. It is very easy to do and it lifts the mood at the end of the month, although there is a temptation to spend it on something unnecessary
Yes, I save money every month using the 50/30/20 budgeting rule. Whereby 50% of my income after tax is used on needs and important expenses and the remaining half is decided into 20% for loan repayment and savings and 30% for miscellaneous expenses. Though I like to reverse such that 30% is for savings while 20% is for extra expenses.
I do not have a fixed income, so I save whatever I can each month. Although the amount may differ, I am happy that I can put some money aside. I did not always prioritize saving money when I was younger, so I am pleased with the progress I have made.
Yes, I do put a portion of my earnings into my fixed deposit account every month. I find it a very effective way to accumulate my savings. And I think this is a good habit.
