Do you wear shoes to work or casual shoes or sandals?

When I was working full time, we need to wear formal shoes. That's the dress code. Now, I work from home, when I go out, I just wear sports shoes or sandals.
I usually work from home, so I do not wear shoes unless I have to. When I need to go out, I opt for Crocs because they are comfortable.
When I was working in a school, it was a must that you must wear a cover shoe to work. You only wear a casual shoe on Fridays.
It is also the same thing with my previous jobs, except when I am still working at the hospital. We need to wear uniforms.
I went for a project job early this year, and getting there we where not allowed to wear anything else but covered shoes or safety shoes.
My work does not have a dress code but I love to wear sneakers to look sporty and smart.
