This is a question I raise in my mind because I notice that many employees are coming to work late as reflected in the Bundy clock. It is not only the late deductions but also the deductions for the under-time workers. The company would be transparent on what they do with the money so that the workers will be encouraged not to come late to work. If I were the manager of a company, I would like to distribute the money to the workers as an incentive for being punctual at work. It could also serve as an incentive to those who always do overtime work. In your workplace what does your management do to the money deducted from latecomers to work?

There are offices that spent the money during parties for food and prizes for parlor games. The employees are also excited that they will have lavished food during parties, especially Christmas parties.

Yeah most of the times company's and owners deduce money from workers who are coming late to work, and per day their are at list 1 or 2 peoples coming to work late, but i don't think the company will get good money from cutting employees.

The deduction for late to work is by minute deduction not by hour. It is very bad indeed and you can see it on our pay slip. It is a shame and it is not good for our morale and reputation. I was also coming late to work but I tried not to be late again by waking at 4 in the morning.

There are employees who cannot avoid coming late because of heavy traffic and sometimes they aren't feeling well so they cannot move fast . If they have babies they also feed them before leaving them to the the house helper.
Yea the money would be used for anything the company wants to use it for, most times they do not actually tell the employees what they do with this but it is always put into good use, especially when they have a good management.
In the company I worked, the funds deducted for lateness goes back to the purse of the company and the boss gets a lowered salary bill.
Such money goes back into the company's account. It could be used to support the next month's salary of the staff.
