How to do away with multiple business taxes

I know it the duty of businesses and its owners to pay taxes but I have noticed that in my country there are multiple business taxes to be paid. I don't know if it's only in my country Nigeria. The government here levy different and multiple taxes on businesses that making good profit become difficult. Sometimes the business is easily killed by this heavy taxes. are there remedies to this? How can multiple business taxes be eradicated?
