What influences motivation at work?

In my opinion money is a great motivation factor, the possibility to make money always encourages people to work hard and work diligently. You can improve efficency of a worker by paying him more.

Being appreciated can also be a good way to stay motivated. The pay might be good, but if their efforts and hard works are not being appreciated, they might not be willing to put in more effort next time.

I think through motivation, most workers are likely to work more harder. By the virtue of the motivation, workers feel that their hard work is being seen and appreciated for that matter.
