Televisions are mostly for our entertainment, in a business setting, it could be the opposite if not properly managed. There have been cases where the presence of television can be a from of distraction to the workers, this might lead to delay of work and even accidents. On the other hand, it's a great way to keep the customers busy and relaxed while they wait for their jobs, and also to help the workers feel less stressed. What's your take on this?

Wow, over here most malls usually have televisions, even in places like transportation parks and the likes, to keep the customers busy while waiting, so they don't get bored.
We have Televisions in the bus terminals, in seaports, and at airports but none in the malls only sound systems. There is a TV if the seller is selling appliances inside the mall, but anywhere, none.
A TV inside the business center does not make sense. The customers never bother themselves to watch. But when there's an important event like boxing, there are malls that install on the wide area big TV, thus attract people to dine in fast foods after.

True, when it's for just the customers alone I think it's a good idea, cause there are some customers who are always so impatient, but with the presence of a tv, most of them tend to even loose track of time.
At my workplace, there is a TV inside the office which serves as a source of entertainment for employees. While it could potentially be a distraction for employees, it helps to alleviate stress and keep them updated with the latest movie listings. Additionally, it can be used to answer customers' questions. In other business, this provide their customers with a source of entertainment while they wait.
Television can be placed in a working place but it should prolly be meant for relaxation purposes and entertaining customers but should be stopped if it gets workers distracted as that may lead to making mistakes.
It's good in a way and it's not a good idea on the other hand. It's good in the sense that it helps entertain customers while their jobs are being in process and on the other hand it can distract workers and make then get lost and delay in work.
No Television shouldn't be placed in a working place because it usually de track working people, mostly they started discussing different news or sometime debate start. But nowadays it is happening as many working places do have it here my nearby bank I big LCD is present.

Very true, I remember where I was working before. Our boss then installed a TV at the office, though it was ment for the customers but we still had access to it. It became a distraction to some of the staffs.
