As a business owner, offering discount does play an important role in the growth of your business, but how often do you offer promo or discounts? I have come across some small business owners who tend to offer discounts almost every month. For me I usually offer discounts only when I have certain events like business anniversary, the end of the year sales.

For me l think the giving out of the discounts by the businessmen is a very expensive strategy for the business to attracting and retaining of customers. With that being said, this should be done once in a blue moon.
In my business there's ofger5of a discount. Pricing of the milk tea here is asynchronous. One will be reported doing it that demerits other milk tea providers. We'll only wait for the signal when to do it.
As a freelancer working offering translation and business consulting services, I do not offer discounts. But for translation service, I offer free trial service and satisfaction guarantee. That is, the client may request me to change the translation three times free of charge.
In my case, I usually have promos or discounts on my items that were embedded on one of the e-commerce platforms in my country. It is needed to set this discount as a marketing strategy to attract the target clients in the market.
Discounts are not what one can just do arbitrarily. You would have to be strategic when doing discounts to make sure that the business doesn't lose out. Also, be sure that every discount has a goal.
For me, frequent discounts is for very loyal customers who have been patronizing the business for a very long time. As for normal customers, they only get discounts on special occasions.
A discount is offered only by big stores or big businesses, not small businesses. It will be crucial for other income or sales quota daily.
