When it comes to applying for jobs each company have various process or factors to look into when it comes to selecting workers. Do you think marital status should also be a factor? I saw a movie once, though it was a movie but I know there are actually companies like this. They refuse to promote their female staffs unless they are married. Do you think marriage should have a say in business?

In my place, marital status is not part but big companies never hire married applicants. They prefer single candidates. There are reasons but too long to celebrate, lol. wonder why married men are hired . Sounds unfair, right?
In our country, you will have to mention in your CV whether you are married or not, however, your marital status is not a determining factor for getting a job, unless you are applying for professions like air hostess, fashion modeling, etc.
In some countries, married women have a much better social status compared to single women, government agencies will openly discriminate against single women, especially if they older. So it depends on the country you live in.
