Is there actually anything like the best age to become a manager? I have seen cases where in some business setup, some persons who are more than qualified to become managers are not given this position, simply because of their age. Personally I do not think there is a particular age one has to be to become a manager, the moment thing is that you can handle the position.

Personally, I believe there is no particular age required to become a manager. As long as he or she is competent, he or she can advance to managerial positions. Businesses/companies typically hire older managers for their experience.

True, most companies go for the matured ones simply because they feel these set of persons would be matured enough to handle the position better than younger ones.
Here condition is different I was Regional sales Manager at the age of 35, after leaving that company I tried my level best to get manager post job at 45 but the main hinder came was my age factor. In my country company don't hire any one as a Manager at the age of 45 or 50.
For me, it is not about age. It is more about the inherent capacity that the person has to be able to deliver on the role.
