Working in a company that is against your ethics

I believe each and everyone of us have different beliefs and ethics, would you ever work for a company that is against your ethics?
Let's say for example this company is currently giving an offer that is very hard to pass down, would you decline based on your ethics or simply accept the job. Like does who do not smoke going to work for a smoke manufacturing company.

I think that if a company culture is against what you believe in, you would end up having clashes with the company. Better to avoid working there from the start.
