I also sell products as well offer marketing services through social media. I get paid for promoting someone’s stuff on my social pages. When it comes to making money with social media, the highest I have done so far is carry out tasks where I like, comment and follow various social media accounts and I get paid something small in return. Though it would be nice to do something more on social media.

I have done these tasks in the past through a site called Fanslave. However, I gave up before I could reach the payment threshold of 15 Euro. A lot of celebrities use sites like Fanslave to build following.
I use social media to make money, especially I use Facebook for this purpose. When I used to sell rice then I was just giving advertisement on Facebook and immediately people started contacting with me and finally I was getting real sale.
Wow, what was their pay like? Over here I am using sidegig, though the pay they give for each task is extremely small but I have been able to reach their Payout level multiple times.
For some sellers, they do use social media to sell their items. They can also do livestreaming on Facebook or any e-commerce platform. It is one of the modes of doing business online. It became popular, especially during the pandemic.
Although I am a freelancer, I seldom use social media to promote my service. I mainly use word of mouth. I find it every effective. I always get new clients by referral.

I am not sure about the current pay rate but when I was active on Fanslave, it was 2 cents per follow. One of the reasons why I left the site was because I had to follow a lot of spammy kind of accounts.
Yes this is one major disadvantage about this gig though. Most of the accounts I come across sometimes are the types I would not follow or comment on.
