In our country, 60 years of age or 20 years of service is the retirement for individuals working for the government. However, in private sector, you can work as long as you want, provided your employer wants you to work. What about your country?

In my country, one can retire at age 60 but could be extended up to age 65. It all depends on the employee and this one is applicable only to government employees because private offices require retire at 60.

In our country it is generally 58 years with some exceptions where the age is 60. I did not wait for retirement but gave up working quite early and started my own business.

The retirement age in my country is 65. This apply to both men and women. Unlike in China, the age retirement is quite early for women at the age of 55. In Japan, most retired citizens are being asked to work due to lack of manpower in this country at present.

Here retirement age is 60 years. And 25 years of service. Private companies usually gives golden handshake to their older employees. But those who are extra performers continue their jobs as long as they feel fit.

Officially, Hong Kong's retirement age is 65. Government officials retire at 65. But some people prefer to retire earlier while others may want to work as long as they are physically and mentally fit.

I believe the retirement age where I live is 67 right now. Politicians are always debating raising it, especially as our average life expectancy increases.
