Personally I don't invest in gold, but my parents invest in gold. The increase in the price of gold will slow down if the global economic situation is stable, but the price of gold will jump when there is economic chaos or inflation, gold is more suitable for long-term investment.

I have invested in physical gold, in the form of coins, and every so often I buy some gold coins, I don't like to invest in digital gold, so the answer is yes, I have invested in gold and for now it has been profitable due to the increase in the price of gold.

ln a matter of fact the investing in the precious metals would require very intensive capital that most small investors would be overwhelmed on the whole process.

Intentionally I didn't do this but unintentionally we purchased some gold before 26 years, now it's price is 40 times high of it's purchasing price.
