I think that rice is the default meal we regularly eat for breakfast in my house. On few occasions, we have had to take beans though or another light food.
Rice is our staple food here. But I seldom have rice for breakfast except the weather is really very cold. I usually have oatmeal and eggs for breakfast. Occasionally have congee with fried noodles.
I don't typically eat it for breakfast. I prefer having something a bit heartier and more protein-rich to start my day, like eggs, yogurt with fruit and granola, or a whole grain toast with nut butter.
