What are your strategies to keep sticking on the budget?

I try as much as I can to stick to the budget exactly but when genuine reasons spring up to shift grounds a little bit on the budget, I do.
I spend for my needs and also indulge in my wants now and then. I actually do not budget but know when to put a stop.

For me l prefer spending less than what is on the budget. l usually frugalityof the higher standard

Same here. I basically buy what I need, but occasionally reward myself by having fine dining or travel overseas to enjoy myself. I do not have a fixed budget, but I have a rough estimate of how much I can afford to spend.
