Do you still have to visit your relatives that live far away from you?

Our family is scattered all over the globe and so visiting all of them is impossible. But I do visit those that are not so far away may be once a year.
I used to visit my relatives who were living far from home before the pandemic and this time it is also hard because of the increase of areas in planes and trains.
I usually visit my mom's side of the family during the holiday season. It's been almost a year since I last had the chance to see them.
On my father's side, there will be no chance to mingle with them anymore. We decided to cut the tie with them when my old man died.
