I seldom go on a shopping spree nowadays except during festivals. On normal days, I take the time to look for good buy such as buy one get one free.
My shopping is mostly online and I do it when I feel the need. Nothing like a shopping spree.

Yes a lot of people tend to buy more during festivities. I think it makes one feel good that you are getting more during the celebration mood.
I prefer grocery shopping over clothes shopping because it is more practical and I do not need new clothes or gadgets since I stay at home most of the time.
I don't really go on big shopping sprees very often. I tend to be fairly financially disciplined and purposeful with my purchases. However, there are a few occasions when I may indulge in a bit more retail therapy. Around the holidays, I'll allocate a budget for gift shopping.
