How do you control the household's tight budget?

I have decided to grow my own produce to save money. Also, I usually buy essential items in bulk to avoid frequent trips to the grocery store.
I buy in bulk when there are discounts or deals like buy one get one free. I use credit card to get cash back but make sure I pay the credit card bill on time so that I do not have to pay any interest. I also join free loyalty program to get reward points which can be converted into cash when making a purchase.
As much as possible, I need to plot my checklist and see which one should be bought or not. In this way, I can manage the budget plan.
I am doing all this and glad to know we are similar in many aspects and I hope to find more such ways that can help me save money
If we can control ourselves and not buy unnecessarily then we don't need a budget to make us disciplined and can save without that too
But there are times that I am tempted to buy not from the list and was amused of it, lol. It seldom happened.
We control expenses by making sure we turn off electrical appliances every night. This helps us to save money and this also saves electricity as well.
