Everyone is different in unique ways and the way we see things are different probably based on background and exposure. But when people from different backgrounds come into a relationship, how would they be able to manage different viewpoints about a particular thing?

I personally think that we need to be flexible in dealing with different sets of people. At some point, we can set our standard boundaries if we think that they are not right.

I think when it comes to situations like this, open communication should come to the rescue. That would ensure that everyone gets to understand what the other person is saying and tries to adjust to meet each other.

This is where compromise comes in. You don't have to be rigid in your dealings. You need to create room for accommodation and seeing things from a different perspective.

I think being objective and not personal is the best way to deal with different viewpoints in a relationship. That's when you would succumb to superior arguments and stop holding on to straws.

You need to be respectful of other's viewpoint. IN other words, you need to respect your partner's viewpoint. If you respect, you will also be respected.

This is where communication and understanding comes into play. Both parties have to discuss with one another to properly know their stand in the matter then there need to be compromises. In other words there are times both parties have to agree to disagree and respect each other for that.
