interfering in parent's conflict

I will not call it interference but a healthy involvement in sorting out differences. Childlren can play a big role in highlighting the plus points of either couple.

I like your submission, yes healthy involvement in sorting out differences. I think it would help to quench any disputes
Call a police on your dad? We don't do that in Africa. We stay in the middle of the conflict. Calling the police on your dad would kill your relationship with your dad forever.
I have not encountered such a problem. My dad and my mom loved each other a lot. I seldom heard them arguing or in conflict.
Even when they invite me to interfere in their problems, I am reluctant about that. I wouldn't want to take sides with any of them.
It depends on the specific situation. I can recall a time from my childhood when I was around five years old. I witnessed my dad yelling at my mom, so I yelled back at him, and as a result, he ended up spanking me. LOL. That experience taught me not to get involved in their arguments anymore. After all, I could not even tell who was telling the truth in the first place.
It is very complex. When your point out the wrong of a parent and they don't agree they were wrong, it can make you have a frosty relationship with that parent.
