If I have a fixed deposit of up to $1000, how much loans can I access lf I use that as collateral?

No, I haven't tried using my investments as collateral for a loan, and I prefer not to. I like to keep my finances straightforward and avoid risking my investments.

It is only when it gets to a critical point that I can stake my assets to get a loan. It is not what I want to be doing regularly.

The people that I see taking a loan against their assets always find it hard to recover those assets because they would fail in the loan repayment.

I have never been a really fan of taking loans and I really hate to earn interest. Having said that, offering loans and offering your assets as mortgage could be risky if you are unsure about your businesses' profitability.

How much you can get depends on the policy of the financial institutions. In our country, you can get upto 80 percent of the monetary vale of your assets, and you make additional 2 percent interest.

Yes if you are getting a loan for business especially from the bank. one would need an asset to be used as a collateral. There's no two ways about it

I have not tried getting a loan against my assets. These kinds of loans are usually gotten from the bank and i have never visited the bank to take a loan.
