What makes a good team player in business

There are certain businesses or jobs that requires creating a team to carry it out successfully. The success rate is usually determined by the team, so what makes an individual a good team player?
Personally I believe your ability to adapt to changes and does around you. Working on a team means you will be working with others from different backgrounds and so on. To be able to work effectively, you need a different kind of mindset.

A good team player is one that listens very well and contributes constructively to the advancement of the goals.

A good team player is that staff that is not selfish and is ready to step on for other team members to cover them up.
