Most business owners tend to take their time investigating potential employees before they employ them. Some time back I heard about a case where a company refused to employ some due to the kind of post she makes on social media. Do you also make investigations before employing someone or do you think its the right thing to do?

In my business, I did not investigate my two stuff. They are close to me. One is my youngest sister and the other one is my cousin. they are trustworthy. But when I open another branch, I surely require a police clearance, NBI clearance, fiscal clearance, and mayor's clearance.

That's so nice, you are very lucky to be able to have people you can trust working under you. Over here this is an issue. It's becoming so hard to find trustworthy persons, even family members.
For me l can say that a corrupt person is corrupted even if you find their clearance certificates as white as snow. This is because people do change and the money most likely changes the honestly people to do evil.
In the job application one is expected to give references and contacting these references the employers gets to know a bit about the incumbent
You can't just employ a total stranger to man your business. The risks is too much. Background checks must be extensively done before employing someone.
