The other day I went to the store, i found whole chicken priced at $0.10. So i took it, when i got to the till they said they made mistake, they didn't price it right. I was told i should buy it at $8. i refused and even demanded to see the manager. I stood my ground that i accepted the price i got from the shelf which is the price they put. I got the whole chicken at $0.10. do you think i was right to do this?

That's what I noticed. Because some people will decide to just pay the price at the till even though it's not what they accepted when they decided to purchase the item. And the trend seems to be rising. IL benefit from it, because there's no way I am paying more than what I accepted in the first place.
You are right. The shop owners might have made a mistake while pricing it.
I have never experienced this thing but you were lucky about it and were able to get the whole chicken at $0.10 and save almost $8. I think we should stand our ground like that and should take the product at that price but when we buy online and it's in transit most of the time they cancel the order stating the reason for the wrong update so we cannot do anything when we buy online
Yeah you didn't steal it you paid for it. The price tag was for that amount. it's a lesson to them to be careful next time.
Hmmm this is rather complicated though cause am pretty sure you know normally the price for a full chicken was more than that. Imagine someone refusing to pay you your correct money for your service simply cause you gave the wrong price by mistake.
You brought in a different angle but it will teach the store to be more careful going forward.
Yes that's right, that's why business owners are adviced to always cross check everything they do always.
Definitely, I believe this singular act will instill a good amount of carefulness into them.
