I think it is seasonal. I am an online seller and cannot keep up with lower prices for my products lately due to this Christmas seasons. I will try to find ways to market them.
Yes I do online selling. It is profitable if you have a fast moving items and you got those items for a cheaper prices from a trusted supplier. But shipping fee is a different aspect to take, for it is costly, sometimes, the amount of it is more than the amount of the items, thus, making you unprofitable.
I always buy online via Shopee, I do not have a problem with this site, except Lazada. I do like Lazada, they're selling garbage items, and many are delivered fake.
Selling online is not as easy as you might think, you have to pay attention to competitors selling similar products, if you want to be successful, create a shop website, use an online shop or eCommerce, take advantage of social media. You also have to learn how to make your store website easy to find on search engines.
The first question is what do you plan on selling and where do you plan on selling it, this would be what determines if you would make profit selling online or not.
