Advantages of using reverse psychology

I know manipulators love to use reverse psychology on people. Do you think this act comes with any benefits to those that it is being used on or it only benefit the manipulators?

It depends on what you are making them do. Let's say a child that does not want to read cause he considers it as a punishment. When the parent uses reverse phycology on the child, it would benefit the child.

Yes if you use it in a good way it would benefit the child but I don't like it when it is wrongly used
