Many companies advertise heavily to make their name popular among people but this advertisement makes the product expensive. I feel if they can advertise for some time and then stop advertising then it'll be useful for them and people because the products will be cheaper.

Agree with you, it is so disgusting. Why should they hire endorsers and have their products getting pricy? The customers or customers will be the victims, and they do not have a choice, especially if an essential product.
That's right billboards alone monthly rent is huge just to endorse a product. It works well for people can visibly see the billboard ads.
Huge billboards ads are effective for business, some company go extra miles like doing huge giveaway with items customized with the brand name or at times the give away their product to catch more attention. It's an effective means but expensive to run.
That's thru their product becomes familiar and people opt to buy famous products displayed on billboards.
