Apples should be peeled, right?

During my childhood years, I do not need to peel apples. One big bite is good enough in eating it. Nowadays, we cannot be sure if they are not treated with pesticides, so I need to peel them out. Do you do the same thing?

I still don't peel them but we should peel them. Pesticides are used in all fruits and vegetables and we should wash them thoroughly before cooking/eating them.

I never washed apples. I just wash it thoroughly in running water. The peels also contain rich vitamins, so let us avoid peeling the apply. There is also a good soap for removing toxic chemicals.

I did not know that there is soap which is used to remove toxic material from fruits and vegetables.

@Sanjee , yes there is a liquid one, we just need to soak the apples and after some minutes the dirt floats. We really cannot believe that there is hidden dirt on the apples. But I noticed the said soap is no anymore found in all the stores. We do not know the reason, perhaps, they have not paid the registration and did not present their soap to the department of health.

That may be the reason, it may not eco friendly or may be harmful to health. Anything which is used to remove pesticides may be harmful to health.

Thatis also my guess because there was a debate about how safe was that liquid soap to clean fruits. That liquid was so amazing. I was wondering, but for me, it was the best liquid fruit-washing soap.

Have you used that liquid? I have seen or heard here in India. But yes there should be something to remove pesticides.

@Sanjee , yes, we used it at home. It was an expensive fruit-washing soap, but we feel the fruits were safe to eat after they were thoroughly washed.
