In my country, it's not possible for many businesses to run remotely. Online business can be run remotely very easily as you just delegate tasks to your staff and manage from your end.
Nigeria has not gotten to the stage of businesses running smoothly. We have to work on our IT infrastructure before we can talk about remote working for businesses.

The reality is that this would be the new reality of work as we move on from here. Any business that fails to adapt and evolve would be discarded.

the Corona virus pandemic has given many businesses that clue. A lot of them have adapted and any business that refuses to adapt will be discarded just like you stated.

Yes we're still running an outdated business system. However it depends on the type of business. It'll be easier for businesses that provide digital services to run remotely than those that deal with physical assets.

Well, many businesses in this part of the world have evolved in my own perspective because I have seen many of them that are doing something great technologically and people can be able to work remotely.

Have you reasoned the cultural perspective of it where work is something that you have to leave your house. If you are at home during working hours, you are obviously idle and jobless and a criminal.

The pandemic of coronavirus actually made it a reality showing that businesses can actually work remotely for years and still be making a good level of profit.
Are you talking about Nigerian businesses? The thing is that we tend to forget things easily in Nigeria. It is very possible we have not yet learned from what happened with the Corona virus lock down because so many businesses on Nigeria have gone back to paper money and physical meetings.

I think the world is moving past that stage because a lot of people work on the internet these days and make full-time income much more than those who do 9 to 5 jobs.

Remote work won't work in my country. In a situation where banks as standard and vital as they are still have network issues for a whole day, what does one expect of other business organization. We have to first on our internet connection.

I think that is very impossible for most companies in my country. This is because for the traditional working set up for the business they cannot survive being worked on remotely for long.

Well, I've seen a lot of Nigerians who work full-time remotely and they make a lot of money. It is all about acquiring the necessary skills.
Are those Nigerians working remotely for Nigerian organizations? Nigerian owned organizations are still lagging behind in this internet revolution.

Well, I don't really know about that but what I know is that there are many Nigerians working remotely. I know someone who got a job through LinkedIn and he makes over 2k dollars monthly.

Those guys are working for companies in Europe or the Americas. Nigerian business organizations won't even allow a staff to send a document via online channels for them. They want their stuff done in person.

Any business that find it very difficult to adapt during the pandemic of coronavirus would find it very difficult to survive in any tough challenges.
