I remember back in the days that Wester Union and MoneyGram were very good means of sending money across countries.

With the advent of PayPal and crypto, I am wondering if people still use these payment channels. In my place, it is no longer popular.

I'm still using Western Union personally once send money to my brother in Saudi Arabia. His company stops paying them and the only means to receive money there is thru WU. But it charges high to senders.

Yes, it is safe to send money abroad via Western Union. It reaches so fast, a matter of minutes. But the chain fee is high compared to the banking services. The problem for a bank is so slow.

The high fees charged by western union would not allow you to be sending $10. The charge alone would swallow up the whole money. That is why we have cryptocurrency to save the day.

It is a very safe way to receive money from outside the Country but cryptocurrency has made it less popular.

In my country PayPal is allowed but people still use Western Union. Mostly older people who work in Germany send money to family and relatives using it. They can receive money in local post office just day or two later.
