Asking For Donations

I see a lot of website owners adding a "Donate to Us" box on their website. Frankly speaking, I have hit that button only on a few occasions and my donation was a small amount. When I was starting out, I also added donate option to my blog. I did manage to get some donations, which allowed me to pay for hosting and domain renewal for the second year. Do you use this option?

This is no bad idea if you can make money on your blog off this means. I do this for my YouTube channel as well. you might not make much off this method though

I have not used the donation button before but I think it's a very good way to generate a little amount of money from friends and families or people who get value from your content.

If we feel that we are stuck really and no way out then we can ask for it, as sincerity is the prime important here then people will donate and so we can meet our needs.

Some websites completely thrive on donations. There are sites that have so benefitted some people and they just want to contribute their quota to the site. I have made donations to some sites too.

Yes Some sites make money through donation. sites that have the donation button have benefitted through this means as some people might want to contribute to the site through donations

I do not have a website so i do not use the "donate to us" option. I don't see anything wrong in adding that button to one's website incase anyone is willing to donate.
